Artist Spotlight
Because I gravitate towards bold colors myself, to see another artist use colors, geometric shapes, and the clean lines in a subtle way elate me. I had found her, Inès Longevial, while exploring the acrylic art on Pinterest. It was an article written by @designsponge Grace Bonney (another person whom I admire a lot and visit her blog regularly to get inspiration).
I am impressed by painter’s use of colors, shapes and yet the simplicity of the form. I visited her Instagram page to find a significant body of work. She paints women in bold figurative style without sexualizing nor confining into norms. She is a French painter.

I use big strokes in my paintings, and it is nearly impossible for me to work on a detailed oriented project. Big, bold and minimalist pieces attract my attention and interest. Few might disagree with me on big and bold being the minimalistic part, but it can be simple.
