Restaurant Review 4 - Maki, Rockville MD

Maki
Again, I was out and about with the family on a Saturday afternoon when I had a strong desire to eat Ramen. It was a super cold afternoon, windy and cloudy. The weather channel had several inches of snow in the forecast.
My heart wanted a hot bowl of ramen. The heart is what heart wants, while the girls were four feet above the ground on the rock climbing wall I shouted, "We are going for ramen." Because my fam is all about food, girls left the session in the middle and said, "YEAH!!! Let us go."
We Googled Ramen Noodles, and luckily there was one just a mile away.
The place looked tiny from outside, and it was tiny from inside. No joke...it is a small place. It had waiting, and we were third in line. The aroma was killing me, it smelled authentic. We got to our table with in 5 mins.
They have a great selection of sushi, bowls and ramen. We ordered few dishes (I have been to places where I end up ordering larger quantities to end up nt liking the food).
Me - Vegetable ramen in creamy veggie broth with an extra egg
Califronia Rolls
Freah Vegetarian rolls
Lara - Spicy pork belly and kimchi bowl
Vara - Spicy chicken ramen in miso broth with kimchi on the side.
and,
Anil - An extra bowl (for sharing from our plates)
The serving size was generous.
The presentation was great.
The service was excellent.
Lara's dish came with a bowl of miso soup and salad.
It reminded me of a tiny place in NYC Chinatown where I go to get my dumpling fix. Tiny place, not facy frills but huge line for the fans like me.
I loved it!
Will I go back? - 100%
Will I recommend it to my friends? - Ofcourse
