Restaurant Review 1 - Nirvana, Olney MD
Last weekend, we were in the College Park area running few errands. On the way back we realized that we had entirely skipped lunch. We all were starving but were in no mood to grab fast food. Passing through Olney, an upcoming city in Montgomery County, we saw an Indian place called, Nirvana. And we thought why not try this one because after moving here we have been binging on the south Indian food. The sound of north Indian food appealed to the ears.
The restaurant is a tiny little place in the Olney Shopping Center at 3474 Olney Laytonsville Road. It has a good location, surrounded by shopping essential like Harris Teeter, Safeway, Giant, Homegoods, TJMax, and few miles away from Olney theatre.
Vibe - The decor is light but classy. It was a little darker than my liking. I was impressed by the choice of wallpaper, paintings, and the tiles. My pet peeve is to rate a place by the condition and vibe of the restrooms. This place has a clean, huge and well-decorated women restroom, which is a plus.
Food - It is delicious, appealing to eyes (I give this utmost importance) but serving size is kind of small. The serving dishes were cute, reminded me of the stuff at the Cottage Emporium in New Delhi, India.
Verdict: I might go back.
